Grandeur. That is the first word that comes into my head when I see this room. Beautiful Hurricane Lanterns, floating lights and glorious French doors that fit so well with the huge round table (complete with Butler...'James' I will call him). I also adore the rough stucco like walls, which I think is such a complement to the whole polished look every where else...

I could imagine a stair case like this just near by, and someone overly beautiful would come traipsing down to meet the love of her life, on their way out to the Eiffel Tower at night, unknown to her, to be proposed to. The mouldings on this wall, the mirror, table, stools and the Hydrangeas, suit me to a tee...where, or how do you get a home that would fit all these stunning things under one roof??

PS- Thank you to all who have sent me lovely coments, either by comment on this blog, or email. My email has been overloaded lately with lots of great encouragement, beautiful words and alot of links!! I am so humbled and glad you all like my little blog. Ness xx

  1. that's really cute..wish i had one too.

  2. I too would be wonderfully suited for a more grand lifestyle - at least for a while. Would love to be the one almost floating down the staircase in my beautiful gown to meet my beau. Sigh. Well, must float up the stairs with my newly washed laundry.
    Best wishes!

  3. Yeah. Thats about the reality of it all...sigh!
