Died and gone to Heaven...

I have had quite a few emails on where to find more photos of my dream home (previous post). Then I got one from Kris with these photos attached!!!!
The home is apparently in California and was on the market for $10 or $12 Million!!!
If only I had some spare change lying around. ;)

This home is Heaven on a stick!
As I am a sucker for symmetry, I am loving the book cases and doors. Oh, and there is the pot of white Hydrangeas from the kitchen, obviously recycled by the Stylist. Lounge is perfect, ottoman...divine. I will have that wrapped to go thanks!

I am not sure what this room is meant for...ballroom, billiards room, drawing room. Yep, I will make it my literal drawing room. Imagine what I could conjure up in this glorious space surrounded by banks of powder blue French doors, French style mantel, beautiful pool and the little entertaining space of the side doors?

Here is a better view of that fantastic oven I mentioned from yesterdays post. For everyone who asked about the floors, you can see them well here.

Now that is a hallway. I thought ours was big! Those chocolate wood floors are sublime, and tall skirting boards and deep cornices get me every time.

Most definitely the bathroom of my dreams.
Free standing tub, Aubusson rug, wood floors, Amoire full of beautiful linens, chandeliers, and picture window and fabulous vanity will do just fine. If anyone has any more photos or nitty gritty information (colour names etc) about this home, I would LOVE to see them. I even had a dream about that kitchen last night!! This home is now going to become the template of my dreams.
Sleep well pretties!

  1. Hi Ness~

It truly is a beauty!!! I am forwarding a few more pics and the link to the realtor here in Chicago. They lowered the price! Maybe it's in your ballpark and we can have a pool party at your house. hehe, I hope you enjoy.

  2. Oh, my house. How did the camera man get in? hehe. I WISH.

This is gorgeous - I see why you are in love with it! I think Joni did a feature on this house on Cote de Texas! I may be wrong, but that room with the fireplace rings a bell. A beautiful bell :)
    YUM.

  4. Ness,
I totally share your love for this house! When I first saw it on Cote de Texas it was love at first sight- but something looked familiar and I recognized the Kitchen from a designer's website... I wrote a post on it's remodel recently- the remodeled version you are showing here is so much prettier! So I guess the good thing about seeing the former Kitchen is that it reminds us that we call can change things for the better :)

Your whole blog makes me smile.

  9. I don't know about that Brooke. Sometimes I am all about French, sometimes Scandinavian and other times I just like 'my' style....whatever that is!
