Ecclectic Collection Of Loves

dbabcock.etsy.com
I have sent our little man, Declan off for his first day of School today, and to fight off the tears I thought I would post some other things I love.
This is beautiful and the detail superb. I would use it on my desk I think...for inspiration.

You probably know why I love this. French...text...burlap...cushion...divine!

Most of you are savvy with Miss Ramos. Ever so stylish and creative, Jennifer has just brought out these new fabric Butterflies made with designer fabrics and will be adding more designers to her list. I love them, and the fact that Vanessa means 'Butterfly'.

Next time I visit the Supermarket I will have this over my shoulder for sure...way better looking than the enviro blue and green bags...and the handles are 22".

This would be stunning in a frame...in my office!!! ;)

I picked this because the work that has gone into this little Bee is amazing. I can imagine many paper cuts and lots of 'dead' Bees in the bin before this one was made.

LOVE this. Seeing that we will be going into the colder season here soon, this would be a pretty reminder of Spring to come while my beautiful Hydrangeas and roses are in hibernation.

teresasheeley.etsy.com
One of these (or some) will be going into our re vamped kitchen for sure. Teresa's range of cushions are beautiful as well.
Don't forget to visit my Etsy Shop, while you are looking at these lovelies!!
Ahh! that's better. Not long to go now until I can pick up our little Man...God I miss him and it's SO strangely quiet here today.

PS - If you live in Australia, please leave your shopping til Friday (13th for Coles and 20th for Woolies) as both these giants are donating all profits from their day's to the Fire Relief Fund.

  1. Oh Ness, what a difficult and long day for you. I can still remember my little boy's first day of school (I cried but he didn't!). No doubt your little one will come home with a spring in his step and his head full of adventures. And best of all he will give you a big hug. I enjoyed looking at all of your lovelies!

  2. Oh you poor thing. Not a fun day. I was sick when my middle one went to preschool last week. He was happy enough though! Bet your little man had a great day and yourself busy :)

PS> Thinking of cushions for kids playroom with initials! Silly, but it's a real craze I am loving at the moment.

  6. I bet he's had a wonderful time! :) Exciting and scary at the same time. They grow up soooo quickly! Love the first "thing". What is it? A cup? A vase? An urn?

  7. Ness you have such a good eye for picking beautiful things...can't wait til you open your retail shop, just to see what treasures you fill it with.
Hope your son's day was good. I'm sure it's always more traumatic for us mothers than it is for them.

  9. Hi Ness.
Of course Vanessa means butterfly, and leave it to Jennifer to create such a gorgeous fabric.
As for your dear Declan, I remember Charlie's first day at school. Absolutely heartbreaking (he is now 15!).
I have to admit that I still get sad and emotional every day when I drop off my little ones, and they aren't so little!

  12. Haley and Trace,
Thank you SO much for thinking of me for this award. I will try and get it done asap.

As for Declans first day, he LOVED it...then fell asleep on the lounge about an hour after we got home...lol!

  13. Dear little soul! I have to admit I didn't cry once as each of our mob flew the coop - but I distinctly remember my own first day @ Clare Primary School. I screamed the school down for hours! Most embarassing for my poor Mum who was a Teacher & thought she should have the perfect child!

  15. ohh...that reminds me of my youngest's first day. I was a wreck and was so scared she would get lost. The school didn't have enough teachers and the first day was a mess! Infact - they did loose her for an hour! I was going crazy but thank god she was ok and just got misplaced in another class, the teacher didn't even notice her and the fact she didnt't belong in that class! From that day on I have not left her in the gym with the others in the morning, I walk her in with her class all the way to the cafeteria, I get weird looks but i don't care. It took me months to get over the shock of the first day....
