Here in Australia we call this a cushion. It's cover is a cushion cover. I have been caught out a few times while trying to write the Etsy descriptions. Do I call them a cushion cover or a pillow cover, which is what Americans seem to refer to them by? Well I am calling it a cushion cover from now on. So, in the spirit of cushion, there covers and text, I bring you some of my favourites....
This one above and top are by a wonderful cushion company Bonjour Mon Coussin. A French online site that has loads of beauties you can customise with backs etc. I was lead here by Noel...thanks!
Now lets not forget my own lovelies from my Etsy Shoppe. One of the new range of Ampersand covers...

This little sweetie I seen on Viera's side bar at VT Interiors.
Inspired by an old French stamp is this beauty at Flax and Spindle.
..and although I adore text and any sort of typography, a beautiful stack of plain linen and vintage grain sack cushions will get me every time.

Love those pillows... or I mean cushions. Yesterday I was posting some pillows on Etsy ( for the first time) With some research, found that pillow was used way more than cushion. I have to say that I use both, depending on my fancy for the day.
ReplyDeleteHope you can join Kari and Kijsa and myself for "Doors to Adore" tomorrow.
Have a great day!

Beautiful! I've finally realized what a weakness (er...sickness) I have for beautiful pillows. They're my #1 favorite accessory. Who are the pillows on the bottom picture from? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteOh you have no idea how much I love this post and all those pillows....thanks!! Chrissy
ReplyDeleteYou can call them anything you want, they are gorgeous. =)
