Sarah Richardson, an amazing Designer.

For those of you who have been following for a while, you will know that Sarah Richardson is one of my all time favourite Designers and I have been following her career for many, many years.
The sweet Chania from razamataz has been kind enough to show each stage of her Farmhouse renovation for us mere mortals who can't get this show - that would be me!
I just wanted to show you some of my favourite pieces from this series.
Her kitchen is amazing and now that our kitchen is painted and has hardware, I plan to dress it a little more and this image is laid out like our own kitchen...without all of the style that SR oozes.
I could so see this in our kitchen. Not sure how it would look next to our fire place though.
This is the sort of cupboard conversion we would love in our own bathroom, yep it is still going and we are having trouble getting some replacement boards. Once it is done I will be on the lookout for an old dresser or the like to convert to our vanity. I love the use of the yellow mirror - very cute!

and the yellow tub and curtains. I think I need some curtains....
This bedroom is amazing, but I wont spoil it for you.
You can head to Chania's blog or go to HGTV for a look yourself..or if you are lucky enough, watch.
While you are watching, I will be channelling my inner Sarah to see what I can do in this kitchen of ours =0)

  3. Hi Ness,

It wasn't until I started reading your blog that I found out about Sarah Richardson. Love her work too, so I have you to thank for that!!! Wonder if she has any books, 'cause I'm with you, not lucky enough to see her shows here. About to head over Chania's blog for a look. Really love the last image in the bedroom (sigh). Hope you are having a good week, like all the rest and just flying by!!! Have a great day tomorrow.
    Take care

  5. Yes, she is pretty amazing and one of our Canadian design stars. She was from the get-go, seeing her first shows years ago it was easy to see where she was going. XO

  6. Thank goodness the US HGTV is airing Sarah's House episodes. The Canadian HGTV features full-length episodes for viewing, but sadly, these are not available in the state. But I digress. I scrutinize any photo of Sarah's work that I can, trying to pinpoint just what it is that makes me love her so! She uses a lot of print fabrics, so note to self: get print drapes, stat! Sarah and her assistant, Tommy, are ADOR-able together, don't you think? Sigh. Thanks for this post! LOVE HER!

  13. Thanks for sharing! I've been seeing a lot of post about Sarah lately and I have to agree with all of you ladies that she is a very talented designer. She is really a Canadian design treasure.

I got to meet her about 5 years ago while at the Toronto Home & Garden show. She was showcasing 2 rooms there and some of her outdoor furniture line. It was all so stunning and we share the same passion for design so I was thrilled to talk to her in person.

    I love farmhouse style. :)

  14. I'm also a big fan of Sarah's. She is good at doing major stuff in neutral/traditional and then punching up the color and graphics in pillows, curtains and other less expensive things. Great post. Heidi

  18. So funny that you post about Sarah today, because just last night I mentioned her to my husband. We booted all TVs out of our home almost a year ago and I mentioned to husband last night that the only thing I miss about not having a TV was I could not feed my crush on Sarah Richardson thru HGTV anymore, snicker.
