Remembering...

from the depths of my file
Found this photo I took last year of my Irish linen monogrammed pillow case. I love this piece of fabric (it is no longer a pillow case, it ripped) and I remembered how much it inspires me always.
Will this be a creative weekend? hhhmmm!
Hope it is for you =0)

  9. It's beautiful. Ripped or not, these pieces of history, connected to the women who made them with such care and love, inspire me.

  10. Hi Ness!
Even a torn vintage pillowcase is better than a new one! The patina, the look...it just can't be duplicated.

I'm glad it inspires you. It inspires me too.

  17. Hi Ness,

I have a beautiful pillowcase of linen, so thick and gorgeous with handstitched bumblebees on it (all white) and it is my absolute favourite...I love to use it. I don't want to even think of the day that it will be torn by so much use. Can't wait to see what you do with yours, I may have to tuck your idea inside my inspiration file for future reference!!!!! I have done nothing, so better go as this will be a busy week. Will call in again soon.
    Take care
