Just stopping in to finally reveal our bedroom makeover.
It is mostly finished, just a few minor details to add/re arrange, but basically, it's done.
my free wardrobe came up a treat in the 'Storm Cloud' grey that I am loving right now.
I still have to add the hardware to my bedside table, but I washed it in the 'Storm Cloud' grey also.
It gives it such a soft look and that's is what I wanted in here
Another glimpse of my freebie robe.
I am still thinking the fireplace will be white and the breast above will be grey.
What do you think?
For the time being until that is decided on, I have added my very old French newspaper insert above
and of course what restful room would be complete without candles, right?
Mics little bedside came up treat in the washed grey also and the blue and white china knobs just add a little colour to it.
Our French doors have had a coat of white paint and were flung open today to catch the warm sun.
Tomorrow is the first day of Spring here in Australia and I am so excited to have the doors open each day again =0)
That wall you see there will have some Botanical prints on it very soon.
Here is the Toile lumbar cover I whipped up while waiting for the paint on the doors to dry.
It is linen toile on the front, which has a very light grey to it, and raw linen on the back. I stuffed it so it was not smooth, like they did in the old days before polyester inserts and the like.
I like the lumpiness to it. It is soooo soft.
Here's a closer look
My fave part is the doona cover!
It was so cheap and looks wonderful. I bought some latte sheets and they really crisp up the white.
I am normally a white sheet girl, but thought I'd go for a little change for Spring.
So, even thought the room is not 100% complete, I am loving it so far.
The white has made a HUGE difference and once I add some more texture and a little Jasmine project I have for my side table, it will be perfect for us.
Let me know what you think. I love hearing what you have to say =0)
Have an awesome day guys! =0)
