What a lovely weekend.
We achieved a lot actually, cars washed and vacuumed, lawns mowed and gardens tended to,
I even got to organise some vintage linen stacks ready for sewing this week.
I have loads of cushion covers to make, so having them sorted prior
gives me a huge head start.
The weather has been superb.
Winter sun was shining and the days have been mild...
I even got washing hung out and dried on the line!
We spent the days sipping coffee and eating home made biscuits, watching the Olympics with the boys.
but most of it was spent outside in the Winter sunshine.
I have even started some of my Spring cleaning, sorting out some of my office
...I know I am early, but I am hanging for Spring so much this year!
My oven has had a workout this weekend, baking lots of goodies.
...even Mic cooked up some divine stuffed mushrooms to
accompany dinner!
but, all in all, it was a very fullfilling, relaxing weekend, photographing some stock for the shop
and getting the mountain of jobs done about the house.
I am am starting to feel like this illness has finally left me and I am
back on track to feeling half Human again.
...c'mon Spring!
Hi Ness,
ReplyDeleteI tried to leave a message on your last post but something obviously went wrong and is probably still floating around in outer cyer space!! So I have everything crossed that this message will behave itself.
My, you have been busy. I love the first image, it really shows the texture of the fabric. Stunning day here as well. So nice to see the sun. Glad to hear you are feeling better, I think it gets worse as we get older!
Will call in again soon, don't work too hard.
Take care
Janine

I have been Janine...very, and this is just the beginning!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by xx
the simple things in life that you talk about are just the best!
ReplyDeleteIt was horrible and cold down here in Hobart so the north of Tas must have got all the nice weather over the weekend. I love a nice sunny winter day. You sound so motivated and organised! You might have just inspired me to do some pre-spring cleaning :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing what a bit of sunshine and fresh breezes through open windows can do. Your photos are beautiful and cushions lovely. I discovered some old embroidered cloths at home (last post) and washed and dried them...am thinking of incorporating them into some kind of cushion cover...thanks for the inspiration.

You are welcome Bec. I would love to see what you do xx
DeleteSounds like you accomplished a lot this weekend, well done! It seems to be a productive weekend all around, my husband and I finally tackled our giant garage mess and I did quite a lot of baking as well :) I love the Olympics... watching inspiring athletes compete for their country is just good for the soul, I think.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I bet you feel better now the Garage is done. xx
DeleteSo lovely to have such a productive as well as relaxing weekend. The days here have been perfection {oh, except for yesterday}.I love winter, Ness. I wish it would stay for much longer. You guys in Tassie have gorgeous summers so perhaps if I lived down there I'd be OK with the warmer weather. xx
ReplyDeleteWe do have lovely seasons all around, Kim. I must say though that by the time we are nearing the end of Winter, I am ready for Spring....not long xx
