I often look at this photo, which is lovely as is, and think 'what would I do to make it perfect for me'?...well...

I would make a table scape somewhere with my beloved blue and white china ginger jars and the like for a touch of colour.....

and would have to have something like this parchment coloured picture in a HUGE white mount board and framed in a slim frame...maybe a coffee colour, for a bit of fun, loads of chunky wicker and cable knit throws and a olive topiary in a metal bucket...love! What would you do?
I'm sorry for my lack of post yesterday. I spent the entire night prior and most of yesterday and last night in Hospital with our little boy who is very unwell.
So a short post today....I need some coffee!

Hope your little man is OK.
ReplyDeleteHe is home now which is good, still not well though. Thankyou,

Hugs to you Ness - what I'd like to see in that room is your healthy and happy son. I hope all is ok, and send love and well wishes.
ReplyDeleteYour print and ginger jars are stunning.

Thank you Isa...you are a sweetie.

Ness, hope your little one gets better soon! What a worry!
ReplyDeleteI like all your ideas. I would definitely add a touch of colour and would start with a tall glass vase full of flowering quince. Then I would add a pale pink throw or two and a tray with some coffee for you and I...
: )

Terri,
ReplyDeleteThat sounds lovely. So many styles could work in that space. It is like a huge blank decorating playground. I would love that coffee too.

Sounds like you have been having a rather bad time of it Ness. I'm glad to hear that your son is out of hospital, and hopefully he is getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteLove this room too and your ideas of what to add. Me, I'd maybe add a large sisal rug for the floor, lots of shells in a dark wooden bowl, a rush basket or two for texture, and a chocolate brown throw or too - cashmere if the budget permitted!
Hope tomorrow is a better day for you and your little man.

Hospitals are no place for little boys (or worried mummies). Look after yourself.
ReplyDeleteHelena,
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel!!! :)
